Welcome to Words & Willow 4

NEWS UPDATE- 01/07/2009

Hi all. This year's Words and Willow project is now into its final week.

The groups that have already been to visit have produced some great work so far.
Keep the good work up!

The project runs until this Friday 3rd July 2009.

Keep an eye on the website for regular updates of photos, poems and more.

Over the last few weeks, a number of you have been recording your thoughts, feelings, observations and insights in and around the NMA. Some have also recorded recitals of their poems so keep an ear out for some great podcasts to arrive on the site over the coming weeks.

Don't forget to visit the guestbook and post your comments online too.
Your thoughts and comments are welcomed.

To all of our students...

You may not realise it, but your work at the National Memorial Arboretum has made a big impression.

Your poetry and willow work has impressed many people including the Veterans who have visited over recent weeks.

Final images of your superb willow work will be posted soon.

We hope you have all enjoyed your time at the National Memorial Arboretum and found something useful in the willow and poetry work to take with you.

It has been a great pleasure working with all of the students and staff involved.

Please keep coming back to the web site from time to time as there will be new items added, including your poetry and art work from those schools who spent time with Phil Evans.

The 'Images of the Day' page will be added to with selected images days not already featured and some.

NMA MEMORIAL

  • To accompany the new venue, we also have a brand new web site which includes a complete archive of the Sudbury and Wolseley projects in 2006 and 2007, together with a section describing the purpose of the National Memorial Arboretum.
  • This is a splendid venue with over 150 acres of land adjacent to the River Tame and easily accessible from the A38 and visited by many thousands of Veterans and their families.
  • Please visit the NMA page on this site and the NMA website to learn more.
  • Words & Willow 4 will, once again, encompass the skills of Greenwood Artist Anthony Hammond (and Poet Peter Clews on request).
  • Your work will be showcased here on your very own web site
