Memorial
Many people gather to remember,
Even for the littlest of reasons,
Most of them are sad,
Only a couple of years until there turn,
Remembering the ones they lost,
It’s all about live then die,
All time they sob with,
Lots of flowers everywhere.

Remember
A little trickling waterfall,
I take time to remember them all,
Those soldiers who went through such trauma,
Who died alone in the corner.
No food or family,
While we live so happily,
They fought for us in the war,
We will remember forever more.

Trees
All around there are thousands of trees,
Swaying to and fro in the mild breeze.
Enormous, tiny, thin or fat,
They’re beautiful I’ll tell you that.
Shiny plaques pinned onto their trunks,
Engraved with loving words.
Berries and flowers falling off,
Enjoyed by the chirping birds.
The winding branches covered in moss,
People mourning for their loss.
You can see the sadness on their faces,
The trees are in an important place.

Soldiers
Soldiers screaming and shouting
On the battlefield
Leaping out and in from cover.
Dead soldiers litter the floors,
In the trenches deep below the soldiers hide.
Each man smells death. This is
Why relatives come
To this special place to remember the soldiers that have died.

Babies
Why then? Why now?
Babies born asleep
Don’t cry don’t scream
Just think of your little baby
Too young too small
Why should they die?
Stones. Stones written on
With lots of love
From everyone

MEMORIAL
Many people went to the arboretum.
Everyday people mourn their lost.
Most people were upset
One day they will be with them.
Remembering people who they lost.
In the gardens were tunnels.
All the time people pray
Lots of people were in the church remembering their lost!

YOU’LL BE REMEMBERED
Power of the smell
The kindness of you
Rich or poor
Happy or sad
Heaven or hell
Young or old
You’ll be remembered.
You have a huge heart
Poppies and crosses
You’ll be remembered
You fought in the war
And made me proud
Have peace
We love you lots
And you know it
So, so long
And good night.

Arboretum
Arboretum, Arboretum,
Remembrance of those,
Be silent,
Or be mournful just cry it out loud,
Railways, Railways the Sumatra Railway,
Elegant little babies,
Tomorrow’s another day,
Use of the chapel be silent for those,
Members of the family - remember them always!

Island Of Peace
An island of peace.
If we are not careful it will go piece by piece.
The brave soldiers fighting.
To protect our land.
It is those who we remember day by day.
And that’s why we share growing love and care.

Remembering Grandad
Remember Remember
Once in a lifetime
Remember Remember
Everything’s fine
Remember Remember
That lovely day
Remember Remember
It will never go away
Remember Remember
Don’t be upset
Remember Remember
The last time we met
Remember Remember
That one final touch
Remember Remember
We love you so much

Royal Artillery
The guns are going bang,
The targets blowing up,
The smoky fiery smell,
The night sky glowing up.
In the morning devastation,
The smell of rotting bodies,
In the morning devastation,
Still that smoky fiery smell.

Remember
Relax and cry,
Enjoy happy memories,
Memorise those good times,
Express your emotions,
My Nan says,
Bert, dear old Bert, lost in war.
Express you emotions
Remember Bold Brave Bert.

To Remember the people
Sunny and bright, that’s how people like it.
To remember the people, who saved our country?
A long, long list on a bare white wall,
Now thousands of names on the white wall.
People going around with tears in their eyes.
So happily they leave, knowing their loved ones are safe.

We Love You
The leaves were green,
The sun was shining,
The sparkles on the statues,
Glistened in my eyes.
The Sands Garden,
It’s a baby’s place,
The death at birth,
With a very short life.
The memorial chapel,
A quite place,
To remember the soldiers,
Who lost their lives for us.

Soldiers Captured
Soldiers captured took away
Played their part so we live our lives today
Took away to places unknown
Put their lives in front of our own
They don’t exactly know where they are
All they know is they are so far
Far from their families, far from their friends
Not to know when the war will end
