Babies
When a mother
Cuddles her baby
She gets a warm
Feeling inside
Like a butterfly
Some live some die
Mother dreams
She will be a star
And hopefully she
Won’t be very far

Shot At Dawn
Dawn is peaceful,
But not today
Lives will be lost
But their hearts will not decay.
Tears will drop
For those who are lost
If time would reverse
It would lift this curse.
Mad eyes,
Shine in low light.
Blindfolds can’t stop
This hungry fight.
I cannot lift this gun
I cannot shoot this man
This world has got it wrong
Oh that poor suffering man.
Love your life,
While you can
The pain, the fear,
I’m only a soldier man.

Shot at dawn
I have fought
For my country
In hail
Sleet
and snow
Shot by his friends
I woke that day
I was so nervous
That I was going to
Get shot at dawn
I wish I was going back

The baby poem
Soft but solid baby
That makes a drizzle in my eye.
With the birds singing away
The wind is like a pillow
That moves my hair
While I am moving
In my sleep.

The Sands
The tear drop on the ground
And all the birds making sounds
A baby sleeping day and night
And it is all very light
All the plants blowing round
When they grow in the ground
As the birds sing
The baby is quietly sleeping
Look at all those people who are dead
Because they got shot in the head
When you can’t see a thing
Your friends are doing something
Look at all the names of those who gave their lives
So few of them survived
Many were too young and ran away
Treated as coward but brave

The Sand Garden
Dear Baby Emily
Say hello, wave goodbye,
Many cherished memories from your short life,
Gone a separate way,
Not even one day.
Born sleeping,
Gone to meet the angels in heaven,
So much love so little time,
A star that will always shine.
Forever in my heart,
Forever in my mind,
Daylight never seen,
But you’re still a shining beam.
Asleep but never awake,
One soft touch never forgot,
I miss you, never met you,
Outfits never worn, baby pink and blue.
I will always remember you,
Today, tomorrow, forever,
I love you my baby Princess,
God bless.
Love Mommy x x x

Sands Garden
Babies rest in the flowers
Happy eyes tear drop showers
Roses, love sleeping soft
Sleeping peaceful, flowers rest
Like a baby an absent guest
Say hello, wave goodbye
Born sleeping god bless
Often in my thoughts
Lost but never forgotten
Your time will come again
My special flower
Beautiful shining star
So much love
So little time
Always in my heart
But not there in the daylight

Sands Garden Poem
Curled up in all the pain
You thin you're going insane
You wish you could forget
But destiny has been set
The Child’s life has gone
God’s work has been done

Sands of Time
Sands of time,
Lost for ever,
Never to be held,
Tear drop showers,
A tear for each,
Never to see,
The stars are bright,
Like the children,
Who stay inside of your heart.
Sands of time
Tear drop showers
Lost for ever
In your heart.

The Sands
Sands of time,
Lost forever.
Still born,
Never to be held.
Lost forever,
A tear for every one
Never to be held
Never to see the changers of life
A tear for every one,
Who stays inside of your heart.
A child never to play in the sun,
But to stay in the night- so peaceful.
Sands of time,
Lost forever.
A tear for every one.

Sands
Babies die young,
Little and soft and shy,
Tear drops fall as babies sleep,
Happy but sad
Roses and love,
Time goes by so fast,
As you can’t keep sand forever,
Soft sands fall as babies rest,
Others die at dawn

Shot
Letters go home,
Just before dawn,
If you can hear me now,
Please do not mourn,
The clicking of the gun,
The shooting of the man,
The fear and pain that’s going through me,
But the work and pain I’ve done for them.
I’ll miss my soldier friends,
The shooting guns as well,
My family and my friends,
A slow and painful kill.
I’ll miss the park,
And my joyful kids,
My wife and kids so special to me,
The flash backs are a great time,
But back to the shot at dawn.

Memories
We start our walk through the flowers
Through the gate
And past the stones
Names on each full of love
Stones have purpose.
We carry on through the twisted path
Walk across the eye
To the sleeping baby
Reach out a hand and feel.
It was a paradox soft and hard.

Shot at dawn
Shot at dawn, they called them cowards,
The one who was shot was surrounded by crowds.
They wore blindfolds around them people shouting,
Hoping the gunman was doubting.
Hearing commands like firing squad halt,
Knowing he was being shot it wasn’t his fault.
Why is it dark his mind pounding,
Not knowing the gunmen were surrounding.
The sounds got bigger,
Standing there waiting for the gunman to pull the trigger.
All of a sudden the bang went off,
Knowing that he will never hear anything again.

Sands Garden.
Say hello wave goodbye
To the ones born asleep
Who had a short life just minutes old days old or maybe less.
In heaven, birthdays uncelebrated.
They lie in the ground so deep down
A tear from every eye
Children that fall asleep but never awake
It feels like magic when they are in your arms but heartache appears when they’re gone.
A soft touch never forgotten
That warm feeling never there again
In your heart there’s something missing
A jigsaw never made again, broken inside.

The Baby and the Eye
The Baby sleeps guarded by the gate,
Before it was, it knew its fate.
When the Eye shuts the Baby awakes
Curling to keep itself warm
On a cold stone bed.
Parents so upset.
Given flowers by them, the baby
Sleeps quietly, in a peaceful place.
Parents walk through the twisted path
Until they meet again.

Shot at dawn
Private Seth was to be shot at dawn
Shot by his friends in a place forlorn
Standing in line was his platoon
Scared shivering into the moon
Such a waste of a life
He give him self up for living in strife

Shot At Dawn
Brave soldier never seen as that,
Saving our country but never thanked.
Letters home to say goodbye,
While mothers, friends and family cry.
My life ruined by the sound,
Bang, bang and they drop dead.
If they could hear me shout,
Oh I wish they would hear me out.
I cannot shoot this man,
But the fear of dying myself. . .
We have been through thick and thin,
Though it seems we can never win.
Standing here to mourn,
For those Shot at Dawn

Baby Grace
Say hello wave goodbye, wave goodbye,
The families of the dead babies cry,
Some in heaven sleeping sound,
Some are buried deep underground
Surrounded by worms and snails and more,
No matter whether rich or poor.
Stones around the edge of the way,
These are some of the things that they say…
‘Sleeping with the angels,’
‘Forever in our hearts,’
‘For the sister I never met.’
‘Happy birthday Lucas Taylor
And my Amelia Sett’
Some have never seen daylight,
Never taken their first steps and more,
Never tried and tried with all their might
To do a silly jigsaw.
All those things never done and much much more too.

Sand Garden Babies
Say hello, wave goodbye
That short time I saw you
That soft touch, I will never feel again
That sad moment, I hold deep
Say hello, wave goodbye
Our little star, that glows in the night
Sleeping with the angels, in the heaven light
Our precious gem.
Say hello, wave goodbye
Our tear never had dried
So much love, so little time
God bless, always close, but never there.

Sand Gardens.
A soft touch never forgotten
For all the families of:
Ruby Wilson
Abbie Moore
Lesley Jon
Hannah Evans
Leanne Clayton
And for every family’s child
Who has died in a still birth.
Say hello
Wave goodbye
Birthdays uncelebrated.
Some died years back, some died this year,
Some minutes old, some days or less
Some died at or soon after birth,
God bless.
Always in hearts and minds,
Never forgotten,
Always loved and remembered,
Asleep but never awake
Precious peaceful gems.
Trees guard their little bodies,
Some never saw daylight.
They sleep with the angels.
Brothers and sisters left behind.
People crying.
A story never forgotten.

The Sands Garden
Drifting away, can’t be grasped
All happening too fast
Soft breeze in the air
Like a vivid coloured flare.
Smooth to touch
Hard to understand
The sounds of crying
Swarming all around.
Curled up
Against the exposure
Can’t escape that
Awful pain.
Breathing deep
Trying to calm
Trying to understand
What’s going on.
All exposed
Ran out of luck
Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide.
